Delft
De Metaale Pot (possibly)
1700 – 1730

A fine painted plate with chinoiserie decor. On the left, we see rocks with floral details, and on the right a table with Chinese objects. In between is painted a Fenix. The rim is decorated with six cartouches with a landscape and in between the cartouches a flower ornament.

Unmarked

Possibly made by de Metaale Pot under the management of Lambertus van Eenhoorn. This is because of the fine quality of the plate and the similarities with the back of an LVE marked plate with the floral rose decoration.

The plate is in good condition, but with a small restored chip between 3 and 4 ‘o’clock.
