Circa 1670 – 1690

A massive 17th century Dutch Delftware blue and white Charger with Chinoiserie decoration in Transitional style.
In the center, we see a Chinese scene with a festive parade of walking figures with some underneath a parasol. On the sides we see people looking out their windows. On the rim, there are four cartouches with Chinese figures, with tulips in between.

Beautiful bright blue colour!

Unmarked, which is normal for this early period of delftware production.

The dish is in very good condition, with only a small filled chip on the back between 3 and 4 o’clock. Further with the normal superficial wear and small chips to the rim.
