A polychrome Dutch tile with the decoration of a speckled blue and orange tulip.
This tile was made in the city of Gouda by the workshop ‘De Swaen’ (The Swan) of Willem Jansz Oliviersz Verswaen.
Painted with French lilies (fleur de lis) as corner decoration. Typical for the Gouda production is the blue cross line on the lily.

The tile is in good condition, but with several small professionally restored chips to the rim.
