A fine polychrome English delft tile with the decoration of Marigolds.
Painted with large oxheads as corner decoration.

The style and drawing of this tile are different than the Dutch tiles. Also, the clay is heavier.

Provenance: from the private collection of Jonathan Horne, an expert in English delft tiles

The tile is in very good condition, with the normal superficial wear and small chips according to age.
