This very rare beautiful clear glazed Dutch Delft gadrooned dish with the decoration of an amor, in Italian style.

An Amor, set between two flowers on a blue outlined yellow ground, is holding a flag. This scene is placed in a medallion. The execution of the medallion with an aureole resembles a monstrance.
This again, is surrounded by a band of aigrettes on the lobes of the dish.

Similar dishes are in the Westfries Museum Hoorn, Boijmans van Beuningen Rotterdam, and Kunstmuseum Den Haag.

The dish is in very good condition, with the normal superficial wear and small chips according to age.
