An extremely rare manganese Dutch biblical tile depicting the parables of the Hidden Treasure: The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
Painted within an accolade with at the top the Bible reference and below the verse.
The subject on this tile is very rare to find. It is not published in the book of biblical tiles, and I’ve never seen it before.
Matthew 13, verse 44.
The tile is in good condition, but with a glued corner. Further, with the normal wear as can be expected for its age.
