A Dutch engraved baluster wine glass, with a pointed round funnel bowl with solid base, decorated with a formal cartouche containing a three-masted sailing ship, flanked by scrollwork and floral sprays, on a wide teared inverted baluster stem on a foot with folded footrim.
This glass includes a lid, probably original as it has the same type of floral decoration.
Inscribed HET LANS WEEL VARN: The Prosperity of the Country.
From the collection of a Dutch nobleman, where it has always been in the family.
In very good condition with the normal wear underneath the foot rim.
